Elevate Addiction Services is home to one of most unique and renowned addiction treatment facilities in California. Elevate’s primary facility is located in the foothills of Mount Madonna right off the Santa Cruz Mountains overlooking the beautiful Monterey Bay.
This 28-acre Santa Cruz drug rehab is remote enough to give our clients the privacy they need, yet it’s just a moderate drive away from Santa Cruz and San Jose, among other premier cities. Our programs at the Santa Cruz drug rehab facility are unlike any others to be found in Northern California.
Features of Our Santa Cruz Drug Rehab Facility
Elevate’s Santa Cruz-area facility is located on a spread-out, ranch-style property that flanks the Santa Cruz Mountains. This prime location offers views of the Pacific Ocean and even Big Sur (when visibility is clear). The campus is comprised of a number of buildings that disperse clients and staff, allowing freedom to roam around campus.
Although this facility is in Northern California and adjacent to a mountain range, we don’t see any snow during the year, meaning we have mild winters and can take advantage of our outdoor assets almost year-round.
Elevate’s Santa Cruz location has 50 beds for its inpatient addiction treatment program. The property also offers transitional housing for other clients. In total, the campus supports up to 74 people at any given time.
Our Santa Cruz-area property boasts the following amenities, many of which play a big role in our holistic approach to healing:
- Expansive Grounds
- Swimming Pool
- Basketball Hoop
- Volleyball Court
- Exercise/Weight room
- CrossFit® trainers on staff
- Outdoor chess tables
Proper nutrition is a major component of our approach to rehabilitation, so we offer clients delicious, nutrient-rich meals as developed by our chef. Since we’re near the coast, many of our meals consist of tasty, fresh seafood and locally picked fruits and vegetables. Our rehab facility also has healthy snacks ready to grab 24/7, and our fresh salad bar is open every day at lunch and dinner. Additionally, we’re very accommodating to those who have food allergies and/or dietary or religious restrictions.
Santa Cruz Attractions to Note While Visiting
While our clients are here to focus on themselves and their treatment, oftentimes families will come to the area to visit and are interested in the local area. Here is a little bit about what our surrounding community has to offer:
Shopping, Dining and Entertainment
Visitors to the area can take a stroll down Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk or Downtown Santa Cruz. The boardwalk is admission-free and features a large arcade, carnival-style games, miniature golf and a restaurant, all along a beautiful beach and wharf. The downtown area boasts several boutiques, locally owned restaurants, sidewalk performers and more.
Beach Outings and Golf
Santa Cruz also has nearly 29 miles of coastline with several admission-free beaches. Visitors can lay out in the sun, take a stroll in the sand, surf or even go on a scenic bike ride. Popular beaches include Rio Del Mar Beach and Capitola Beach located in picturesque Capitola Village. You’re also encourages to hike your way to some of the “secret” beaches in the area. The facility is also less than an hour to Pebble Beach and its amazing golf courses.
Hiking and Mountain Biking in the Redwoods
Hiking is also popular in this region, due to the endless redwood trees that enhance the scenery. Several hiking and mountain biking trails in the area are admission-free, while you only have to pay a parking fee to hike through attractions such as Big Basin Redwoods State Park or Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.
Wildlife diversity is one of the main attractions to Santa Cruz. Visitors can go on a free guided nature walk through the wetlands of nearby Watsonville to see dozens, if not hundreds, of different bird species. The Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf is an excellent place be amidst a variety of animals that swim, sunbathe and fly. Throughout the winter, visitors can take a free guided tour of the Monarch butterfly grove at Natural Bridges State Park.
Museums and Monterey Bay Aquarium
The world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium is a short 20 minute drive from us which features magnificent exhibits of ocean wildlife. Santa Cruz has more than a dozen different museums of many styles, including several that feature surfing and marine biology exhibitions. There are several admission-free attractions such as the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum, the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center, Agricultural History Project and more. Other places of interest such as the Seymour Marine Discovery Center and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History occasionally offer admission-free days, as well.
