Process for Admission into Treatment
Elevate Addiction Services’ inpatient addiction program is both a journey and a commitment. We aim to help people from any walk of life who genuinely want to change their life and are willing to do what it takes to find success.
Most of our clients come here willingly and are excited to start their new lives. We work with many people who have a sincere desire to work towards a better life, and this is reflected in the positive culture of our program.
However, we understand that people stuck in the horrors of addiction can be unstable and make poor choices. If your loved one isn’t currently willing to enter treatment, please don’t give up. Often times, they are very scared and anxious. The substances are altering their thought process and may be causing them to think irrationally.
If they could only see how good they would feel even one week into treatment, they would come. This is why we offer intervention services to bridge the gap from active addiction to recovery treatment under our roof.
Insurance Verification and Billing
Elevate Addiction Services is IN-NETWORK with MultiPlan, Anthem, and Healthnet health insurance plans. Additionally, Elevate can bill almost all insurance companies that accept out-of-network benefits.

Please note that, unfortunately, we cannot bill Medicare plans.
Many insurance plans can seem confusing, but we will help you determine your benefits at no extra cost. Regardless of insurance company or policy type (HMO, PPO, EPO, etc..) please enter your insurance information into our 100% secure Benefits Checker Form and we will call you after we’ve assessed your policy, usually within 30-60 minutes during business hours.
We will explain your benefits and whether you have a deductible or out-of-pocket costs that must be met. We make it easy, so just follow the button below to fill out our insurance verification form.
Private Payment and Financing
Many people choose to either pay for our program on a credit card or acquire financing to cover the costs of our treatment. Even if a certain client has insurance that we can bill, paying privately for our program may still be his or her preferred option.
If the program costs have been covered, treatment delivered to the client won’t be interrupted even if there is a problem with insurance billing. We can then bill on a reimbursement basis for the services delivered. Call our Admissions Department to learn about current program costs.
If you would like to finance the cost of our program or if you would like to finance your deductible or out-of-pocket costs, we have a number of options available to you. We have a number of lending partners that can provide you with instant funding as well as flexible payment options. Call us and we’ll be happy to show you what your options are.
What to Bring to Our Treatment Center
Below is a guideline for what you should bring if you’re admitted to our program. If you’ve forgotten anything, don’t worry: We make trips to stores once a week and clients can order what they need.
Here’s what you should bring to our Santa Cruz, California facility:
- Comfortable clothing, including T-shirts, sweatpants, shorts, jeans and casual shoes
- Flip-flops and a swimsuit for warm days or time around the pool
- Loose workout clothing and sports shoes
- Comfortable hiking boots, if possible
- Windbreaker or rain jacket
- Sweatshirt or hoodie
- Sunglasses and hat for outdoor activities
- Books, magazines and/or small music players without an internet connection.
- Insurance ID and/or Pharmacy Card
Also, you may bring these items if they apply to you:
- Reading glasses or contact lenses with lens solution
- Pre-approved prescription medication
- Any important legal or medical records that would be necessary during treatment
What Not to Bring to Our Facility
For the safety, comfort and respect of our clients and staff, please do not bring the following:
- Any substance containing alcohol, such as mouthwash
- Prescription drugs that are not pre-approved
- Provocative clothing, including that which promotes alcohol, drugs or sex
- Cellphones or other electronic devices that connect to the internet (or prepare to turn it in upon intake for safe keeping during the program)
- Aerosol cans or other products containing heavy fragrances
- Anything that can be considered offensive to a specific class of people or religion
- Any non-sealed cosmetic products
Also, we do not allow cameras for confidentiality reasons, and we don’t allow most electronic devices. We believe that “unplugging” is necessary to get in touch with your inner self during treatment. While we can arrange for limited, supervised use of the internet for specific family or business communication reasons, please expect it to be kept to a minimum. If you have any questions, please ask.
Flying in from out of state or Southern California to enter our program? We’ll be happy to pick you up at any of the following airports at no charge:
- San Jose (SJC)
- San Francisco (SFO)
- Oakland (OAK)
- Monterey (MRY)
Please call our Admissions Department first and arrange to have any necessary paperwork taken care of so that we can schedule the transportation.
